Attorney Maricé Morales
Maricé Morales, Esq. has focused her practice in the areas of criminal defense, immigration, and personal injury. Ms. Morales not only has vast experience in immigration and in Maryland’s state courts, but has authored legislation that we apply in our state courts today. Her unique perspective on legislative changes to our criminal, civil, and administrative codes give Ms. Morales a vantage point in her approach to reaching the best results for her clients. Ms. Morales is fluent in Spanish, French and English.

In 2014, Ms. Morales was elected to the Maryland House of Delegates as the first Latina representing District 19 in Montgomery County and the youngest Latina to serve at the state level in the country. During her time in Annapolis, Ms. Morales sponsored legislation to reform the criminal justice system, protect immigrant communities, and protect workers’ rights. She worked on an array of initiatives as a committee member, including Justice Reinvestment, the elimination of mandatory minimums, bail reform, police accountability, insurance coverage, mental health issues, and reproductive justice. Ms. Morales received the Governor’s Award for her work combating Human Trafficking; and was the recipient of the Outstanding Public Service Award from several local organizations in recognition of her contributions to the welfare of the Latino community. Ms. Morales was recognized in 2019 as one of the top 100 Most Influential Latina Leaders in the DMV.
Before elected office, Ms. Morales’s legal work extended from the Public Defender’s Office in New Orleans, LA to San Jose, Costa Rica at the Inter-American Court of Human Rights. From canvassing neighborhoods to encouraging jury participation in Louisiana, to contributing to the international legal framework around discrimination and excessive force against Afro-descendants, Ms. Morales is constantly fighting to reinforce the basic human and constitutional right to equality under the law.​
Ms. Morales currently serves on the Montgomery College Board of Trustees, and the boards for the Jewish Council on Aging and Emerge Maryland. Ms. Morales has a J.D. from the University of Maryland School of Law, and a Master’s in Public Policy and a Bachelor’s in Global Affairs and French from George Mason University.
